Coremetrics Raises $60M

San Mateo-based web analytics software provider Coremetrics said this morning that it has raised $60M in a Series E funding. The round came from 3i, and also included prior investors Accel Partners, FTVentures, and Highland Capital Partners. Coremetrics said the funding would go to build its sales growth and to accelerate marketing. Coremetrics competes in the web analytics business against such firms as Omniture and WebTrends.
