Ampro Computers Acquisition Completes
San Jose-based Ampro Computers, a provider of ruggedized products for the industrial market, has been acquired by ADLINK, a Taipei-based manufacturer of embedded computing products. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. ADLINK said Tuesday that the acquisition enables it to provide rugged and industrial products and services for use in aircraft, trains, ships and other environments. According to ADLINK, the deal has receive both the workforce representatives and the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs. The deal, which was originally announced in March, makes ADLINK the third largest, industrial PC manufacturer in Taiwan, according to the company.
