Foxmarks Gets VC Round
San Francisco-based Foxmarks, which is developing social bookmarking and social web surfing software, has quietly raised a round of venture capital from Redpoint Ventures, silicontap.com has learned. The spokesperson of the firm confirmed a recent funding, but declined to answer questions about the round, which follows an earlier round of funding from First Round Capital in 2007. Foxmarks currently has software called Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer, which automatically synchronizes bookmarks between Firefox browsers running on two or more computers. Foxmarks was founded by Mitch Kapor. More information »
