Facebook's Cohler Joins Benchmark Capital

Menlo Park-based venture capital firm Benchmark Capital said late Thursday that Matt Cohler, a senior executive at Facebook, has joined the firm as General Partner. Cohler is currently Vice President of Product Management at Facebook, and was one of the first five employees at the firm. Cohler has also served at LinkedIn, where he was a member of the firm's founding team. Benchmark said that Cohler will identify investment opportunities in Internet-related services for the firm. According to Benchmark, Cohler will continue to serve as a special advisor to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and its senior management team.
