Oracle Buys Global Knowledge Software
Redwood Shores-based database giant Oracle said today that it has agreed to acquire Global Knowledge Software LLC, a provider of self-service traiing automation software. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Global Knowledge Software LLC is a division of Global Knowledge, Inc. According to Oracle, the deal is expected to close in the third calendar quarter of 2008. Global Knowledge Software's products are used for training end users on enterprise applications; Oracle has been using Global Knowledge's software as what the firm describes as a "core component" of its Oracle User Productivity Kit (UPK) offering.
