ELASTRA Adds Cloud Computing Support
San Francisco-based ELASTRA, a developer of software for configuring systems for the cloud computing market, said today that the firm has added support fro the Eucalyptus open source, cluster computing project. Elastra said that its Elastra Cloud Server now supports configuring, deploying, and managing application son Eucalyptus, which is used for creating "cloud computing" systems on Linux clusters. The support comes thanks to Amazon EC2-compatible API support in the package. ELASTRA's cloud computing software was developed for Amazon EC2 and S3. ELASTRA said the support is now available in a limited beta.
