Qik Adds Andreessen, Horowitz As Investors

Foster City-based Qik, which develops a interactive live video streaming service, said this morning that it has scored a "significant investment" in the company from Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz. Financial terms of the funding were not disclosed. Both of the two join Qik's board of advisors as part of the deal. Andreessen was co-founder of Netscape, and is currently chairman of social networking site Ning; Horowitz also was at Netscape, and was co-founder of Loudcloud with Andreesen. Horowitz is current at HP. The new investment comes on top of angel investments in Qik earlier this year from salesforce.com's Marc Benioff, Telesoft Partners' Arjun Gupta, and Jingle Networks' George Garrick.
