Adaptec Buys Aristos Logic
Milpitas-based data hardware products firm Adaptec has acquired a developer of RAID ASICs, Aristos Logic, the firm said today. Adaptec said it will pay approximately $41.0M in cash for Aristos Logic, which is headquartered in Foothill Ranch, California. Aristos Logic develops ASICs used in RAID data storage controllers, and employs around 75. Aristos was venture backed by EMC, Emulex, Infineon, JPMorgan Partners, Panorama Capital, QTV Capital, Seagate, TPG Ventures and Woodside Fund.
