Virage Logic Buys Impinj Unit

Fremont-based Virage Logic said today that it has acquire the non-volatile memory (NVM) intellectual property business of Impinj, in a deal worth $5.2M. Virage Logic said the buy includes Impinj's logic NVM IP and added more than 50 Impinj patents to its IP portfolio. Virage Logic also said it has hired approximately 30 former Impinj employees involved in the business. Impinj was advised by Pagemill Partners in the deal.
