Blurb Names WSJ's Crovitz To Board
Venture-backed, San Francisco-based online book publishing service Blurb said today that the firm has added Gordon Crovitz, former publisher of the Wall Street Journal, to its board of directors. Blurb is venture backed by Canaan Partners and Anthem Venture Partners. Blurb said that Crovitz was EVP of Dow Jones, in charge of its Consumer Media Group and redeisng of the Wall Street Journal. As part of its board announcement, the company said that it had nearly $10M in revenues in 2007, representing over 90,000 unique titles published by the firm. Blurb allows users to download software to create their own books, including creating their own photo and other hard copy books.
