Devicescape Gets Win At Slacker

San Bruno-based Devicescape Software, which is venture backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, August Capital, Enterprise Partners, and JAFCO, said this week that the firm is enabling Wi-Fi for Slacker's new G2 Personal Radio Player. According to Devicescape, it is helping Slacker deliver updates through Wi-Fi hotspots. Slacker, a provider of a personal radio station service and related personal music players, uses Wi-Fi connections to automatically refresh music on the devices. Financial impact of the deal with Slacker was not disclosed.
