Quantum, Riverbed Settle Patent Fight

San Jose-based Quantum Corp. and San Francisco-based Riverbed Technology said Wednesday afternoon that the two have settle their mutual patent infringement lawsuits. Financial and other details of the settlement were not disclosed. Quantum Corp. had sued Riverbed in October of 2007 claiming Riverbed had infringed on a de-duplication patent issued to the firm in 1999; Riverbed filed its own retaliatory lawsuit in November of 2007 claiming Quantum infringement on a wide area file services patent.
