FitBit Raises $2M
San Francisco-based Fitbit said Friday that it has raised $2M in a round of funding. The company, which is developing a consumer-focused service that combines a health and wellness monitoring with Web information, said the round was led by True Ventures and also included SoftTech VC, the venture firm run by Jeff Clavier. Other angel investors also participated. Jon Callaghan of True Ventures joins the board along with the funding. Fitbit.com said it will launch its device and website in early 2009. More information »
