BitTorrent CTO Takes Helm

San Francisco-based peer to peer sharing firm BitTorrent said Friday that the firm's Chief Technology Officer, Eric Klinker, has been appointed as CEO of the company. Klinker also has been appointed to the firm's board. Klinker has been CTO of BitTorrent since 2007. BitTorrent did not give any details on the reasons for the departure of Doug Walker, the firm's prior CEO, who himself replaced BitTorrent founder Bram Cohen in 2007.
