Quantum Chops 180 Employees

San Jose-based data storage manufacturer Quantum Corporation said Monday that it has cut 180 employees, or approximately eight percent of its staff. Quantum said the move was largely in response to the global financial crisis and related market uncertainty. Quantum expects to save $18M from the moves.
