Alter-G Gains $8M
Menlo Park-based Alter-G, which develops medical devices for the rehabilitation market, said Tuesday that it has raised $8M in a Series B funding round. The funding came from Versant Ventures. The firm said that Ross Jaffe of Versant Ventures joins its board along with the funding. The funding will go toward's the company's growth. Alter-G is developing technology, originally developed at NASA, which uses air pressure to help people in rehabilitation use treadmills, unencumbered. Frog & Peach Investors and Red Planet Capital--which invests in technology spun out of NASA--are also investors in the firm. More information »
