ShotSpotter Snags Saginaw
Mountain View-based ShotSpotter, which develops surveillance systems which help law enforcement and others to locate gunshot locations, said today that it has signed on the City of Saginaw, Michigan, as a customer. The firm said that the Saginaw Police Department and the City of Saginaw will use the firm's ShotSpotter Gunshot Location System to target gun crime. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. ShotSpotter is backed by the Band of Angels, City Light Capital, Claremont Creek Ventures, Labrador Ventures, Lauder Partner, Levensohn Venture Partners, Norwest Venture Partners, and The Westly Group.
