TextDigger Uncovers $4.3M
San Jose-based TextDigger said this morning that it has raised $4.3M in a Series A-1 funding. The firm, which is developing semantic profiling, text mining, and other text search tools, said the funding was led by True Ventures. Other investors in the round included Intel Capital and CBS Interactive (formerly CNET Networks), along with unnamed angels. TextDigger said the new funding will go towards development and marketing. The firm is working on developing software which makes web pages more "findable," both for internal web pages and when being accessed by search engines. The firm is a spinout of CNET Networks, which provided the firm with some funding in early 2007. More information »
