CVSDude Moves To Palo Alto, Acquires Competitor
CVSDude, a provider of source code control hosting and other related services, said today that the startup has moved from Australia to Palo Alto. The firm--which is angel backed--said it decided to move its corporate headquarters to "the heart of Silicon Valley" because two thirds of its customers are located in North America. The firm said it received an angel round of investment in late 2008; amount of that investment was not disclosed. The company also disclosed that it has acquired Sharpforge, which runs similar source code control services; terms of that acquisition were not detailed. CVSDude is headed by Jason Seed. CVSDude said its R&D operations will remain in Queensland, Australia. CVSDude offers hosted, SaaS versions of the open source Bugzilla bug tracking software, Trac bug and issue management software, and the Subversion source code database software.
