eBay Launches Green Initiative

San Jose-based eBay is jumping on the green bandwagon today, saying that it has created a new effort to promote green shopping. According to eBay, the new effort--the eBay Green Team--will offer content, tips, and suggestions around such topics as green products, eco-friendly merchandise, and green packaging. eBay also said the effort will include a social media campaign in Facebook and a promotion with Heart Magazines, "30 Days of Green" which will raise visibility among Hearst readers about sustainable consumption.
