EA's Dante's Inferno Goes To The Big Screen

Redwood City-based video game maker EA is taking another of its games to the movie theaters, saying this morning that it has linked with Starz Media's Film Roman on a feature-length project based on its Dante's Inferno title. According to the two companies, the animated movie will be based on the story in EA's game, which will be released for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 sometime in 2010. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The new project follows Dead Space: Downfall, which was distributed by Starz last year based on EA's horror videogame Dead Space. Dante's Inferno is being devloped at EA's Redwood Shores location.
