Online search portal Yahoo! reported Tuesday that it has hired Jeff Russakow as senior vice president of customer advocacy. The Sunnyvale-based company said Russakow will officially come aboard Friday and will report to Carol Bartz, Yahoo's chief executive officer. Yahoo noted that Russakow will supervise all of its customer support functions, including audience, small business, ad operations and search network quality. The company added that he previously worked for security software firm Symantec, where he held several executive management roles. He also served as vice president of worldwide sales operations and customer support for Adobe Systems and vice president of strategy and field operations for SAP America.
