Google Names PowerMeter Partners

Mountain View-based Google hsa disclosed partners for the firm's smart energy effort, Google PowerMeter, saying today that San Diego Gas & Electric, TXU Energy, JEA, Reliance Energy, Wisconsin Public Service Corporation, White River Valley Electric Cooperative, Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited, and Glasgow EPB are all participating in allowing their customers to access power information via Google's web widgets. Google's PowerMeter effort is a Google Gadget which allows Internet users to see and track their power consumption from their home computer.
