Kiptronic Acquired By Limelight

San Francisco-based video advertising firm Kiptronic has been acquired by content delivery network Limelight Networks. Limelight did not disclose financial terms of the deal, only saying that it included both common stock and cash. Kiptronic was venture backed by Blueprint Ventures and Prism VentureWorks. According to Limelight Networks, Kiptronics team will continue to remain focused on building mobility and monetization solutions. Kiptronic's technology was used by content publishers to deliver advertisements to mobile devices, automatically detecting and serving up video ads depending on what devices were connnected to a site.
