Xignite Releases Financial Data Service

San Mateo-based Xignite reported today that the firm has launched its web service for distributing financial data, XigniteOnDemand. According to the firm, the new offering allows exchanges, multilateral trading facilities, brokers, and other data owners to sell their market data through Web services. Xignite offers real time stock quotes, stock prices, company information, charting, and other market data all accessible via an API. The firm is venture backed by Altos Ventures and Startup Capital Ventures.
