Twitter Hit By Denial Of Service Attack

Twitter, the high profile micro-blogging service, reported this morning around 8am that the firm is in the midst of a denial of service attack on the company. The attack comes as the firm seems to have become somewhat of a target, which included a high profile release of the firm's confidential information by a hacker last month to TechCrunch, along with numerous phishing and attempts to spread viruses through its service in recent months. Twitter said it is "defending against this attack now" and would update its customers on progress.
