TYZX Scores With iRobot
Menlo Park-based TYZX, a developer of 3D vision systems technology, said Monday that it has been selected by iRobot for several military robotics research projects. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. TYZX is backed by Microsoft founder Paul Allen, as well as Takata, a manufacturer of automotive safety systems. The firm said the firm's technology will be used as part of iRobot's PackBot and Warrior platforms, mobile robots being used for search, reconnaissance, and bomb disposal.
