TYZX Gets Win At NASA Ames

Menlo Park-based TYZX, a company developing 3D vision systems which is backed by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, said today that it is working with the National Aerospace and Science Administration on mobile robotic test platforms. The firm said it is working to enhance navigation and obstacle avoidance capabilities of mobile robotic test platforms at NASA Ames Research Center. NASA will use the firm's stereo vision processing cameara and system as part of its K10 mobile robot. TYZX is backed by Microsoft co-foudner Paul Allen, and recently received a $4M investment from automotive safety systems manufacturer Takata.
