Google Lets In Third Party Ad Networks

Mountain View-based Google is opening up the doors to third party advertising networks, as part of its AdSense program, the firm told its publishers this afternoon. According to Google, it will allow multiple ad networks to show on pages, competing with AdWords advertisers for ad space on publishers who are part of the firm's AdSense program. Google said that it is certifying all of the ad networks included in its program, in the area of user privacy, ad quality, and speed. Google also said publishers would be able to opt out of specific ad networks, if they like. The search engine giant said that the rollout of the third party networks would occur over the next few months.
