Google Flips For News, Revenue Share
Mountain View-based Google rolled out a new project from Google Labs late Monday, Google Fast Flip, looking to help consumers read online news. According to Google, the project helps users "flip" through articles without any unnatural delay, due to media-rich pages. As part of the new project, Google said it will provide revenue share with publishers from contextually relevant ads on their sites, starting with three dozen publishers, including the New York Times, the Atlantic, the Washington Post, Salon, Fast Company, ProPublica and Newsweek.
