Atmel Names Euro VP

San Jose-based Atmel, a developer of microcontroller and other semiconductors, said today that it has named Joerg Strughold as its Vice President of European Sales. Strughold joins the firm from Qimonda, and has also served at Infineon, Siemens Semiconductor, and other firms. The firm said that Strughold will be responsible for growing sales revenue in the European region.
