Dune Networks Acquired by Broadcom For $178M

Sunnyvale-based Dune Networks, a developer of data center switching equipment, has been acquired by Broadcom in a deal worth $178M. According to Broadcom, it signed a definitive agreement to acquire Dune in an all-cash deal. Dune Networks was venture backed by Alta Berkeley Venture Partners, Aurum-SBC Ventures, Elwin Capital Partners, Evergreen Venture Partners, Jerusalem Venture Partners, Pitango Venture Capital, Siemens Venture Capital, and US Venture Partners, and last raised around $8.3M in a Series C investment in May of this year, led by Evergreen. Dune had raised $53M over its lifetime.
