VigLink Gets Seeded

San Francisco-based VigLink, a developer of tools to automatically provide affiliate links in pages for web publishers, has raised a seed round worth $800,000 from First Round Capital, Google Ventures, as well as angel investors Reid Hoffman, Deep Nishar, Niel Robertson, Hadi Partovi, Ali Partovi, Carlos Cashman, and Micaoh Adler. VigLink provides a Javascript code snippet which is installed onto publisher web pages, which automatically adds affiliate links to destinations URLs on web pages for publishers, so that they gain revenue from affiliate programs. As part of the funding, the firm said it has added First Round's Josh Kopelman, Rich Miner of Google Ventures, and Niel Robertson, formerly of Service Metrics, to its board of directors.
