MiaSole Gets $100M In Tax Credits

Santa Clara-based Miasole, a manufacturer of thin film, CIGS photovoltaic modules, said Thursday that the firm has gained $101.8M in Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credits. The firm said the grants are expected to add jobs to ramp up manufacturing in Santa Clara due to the credits, which are focused on its manufacturing of solar PV cells and modules. The firm said the funding came as part of the Obama Administration's award of $2.3 billion in tax credits nationwide.
