People Power Hits $1.2M In Funding

Palo Alto-based People Power, a firm developing energy monitoring services focused on energy efficiency, has now raised $1.2M out of a planned $1.6M fundraising, according to a recent regulatory filing by the firm. People Power was founded by Gene Wang, former CEO and Founder of Bitfone, which he sold to HP in 2007. Source of the new funding was not disclosed. The firm is backed by New Cycle Capital--the venture fund founded by former Maveron VC Ben Black--and Essex Woodlands Health Ventures. More information »
