3Crowd Gathers $6.62M
San Mateo-based 3Crowd Technologies, which develops management tools for cloud-based computing, announced today that it raised $6.62M in a Series A funding round. The funding came from Canaan Partners and Storm Ventures. Maha Ibrahim of Canaan joins the firm's board as part of the funding; Ryan Floyd of Storm Ventures also sits on the board. Kevin Rose and Jay Adelson are also angel investors in the firm, which is headed by Barrett Lyon, former founder of Prolexic Technologies and co-founder of BitGravity.
