Spansion Gets Investment From Silver Lake Sumeru

Menlo Park-based investment group Silver Lake Sumeru said today that it has closed on an investment in Spansion, which said yesterday that it has emerged from Chapter 11. Silver Lake Sumera did not detail the size of its investment, but said it is appointing two board members as part of the investment in the maker of flash memory. Spansion said that Silver Lake Sumera is a "major" equity partner in the firm.
