Tesla Sells 126 Roadsters In Q1
Palo Alto-based Tesla Motors revealed today in an S-1 filing that it has now sold 1,063 Tesla Roadsters, or 126 roadsters between December 31st and March 31st, and also paid $42M for Toyota's NUMMI plant in Fremont. The firm also said that it has spent a total of $125M in cumulative capital expenditures and research and development costs for the Tesla Roadster, from inception to delivery of the first Roadster. Tesla also said it now hopes to list its stock as TSLA on the Nasdaq Global Market. Tesla said it now has 235 employees, as of April 30th. Tesla announced a $50M investment from Toyota and the acquisition of its NUMMI plant on May 21st.
