SocialText Ups Funding To $6.2M

Palo Alto-based SocialText, the developer of enterprise social networking tools founded by Ross Mayfield, has raised in a new, Series A-1 round by $2.26M, according to a regulatory filing by the firm. According to the filing, the funding brings its total Series A-1 funding to $6.2M. SocialText is backed by Draper Fisher Jurvetson and others. Based on the indication that the round is a Series A-1, and the last announced funding from the firm was a Series C, this round is an extension of an un-announced recap from last year.
