Linden Lab Loses CEO

In further turmoil at the maker of the Second Life virtual world, San Francisco-based Linden Lab said yesterday that CEO Mark Kingdon has stepped down. Kingdon is being replaced on an interim basis by founder Philip Rosedale, and current CFO Bob Komin has added the role of COO. Reason for the move was not given, however, the firm has been in the midst of an upheaval, recently cutting 30 percent of its staff in a major restructuring.
