Joyent Buys Layerboom Systems

San Francisco-based Joyent, a provider of cloud computing infrastructure, said Thursday that it has acquired Layerboom Systems, a Vancouver-based provider of virtual server management tools software. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Joyent said the buy will provide it with new virtualization technology for Windows and Linux operating systems, expanding its cloud infrastructure services.
