Validity Raises $12.6M For Biometrics Sensor
San Jose-based Validity, a developer of biometric fingerprint sensors, said Tuesday that it has raised $12.6M in a Series D funding round. The firm said the round was oversubscribed, and was led by new investor Panorama Capital. The firm also said prior investors TeleSoft Partners, Crosslink Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, and VentureTech Alliance participated in the funding. Validity supplies fingerprint sensors to to notebook PC OEMs, including HP and Dell. The firm said the funding will go towards accelerating its technology roadmap and for new market opportunities.
