HP CEO Hurd Resigns Due To Sexual Harassment Scandal

Palo Alto-based HP said late Friday evening that CEO Mark Hurd has resigned, due to an internal investigation surrounding a claim of sexual harassment against Hurd and HP by a former contractor to HP. The firm said that it has appointed CFO Cathie Lesjak as CEO, on an interim basis. Over the weekend, the former HP contractor was identified as Jodie Fisher, a Dallas single mother and former commercial real estate broker.
