VirnetX Sues Apple, Cisco, Others In Lawsuit
Scotts Valley-based VirnetX Holdings, a firm which has a portfolio of patents, said Thursday that it has sued Apple, Cisco, NEC, and Aastra in a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. The firm says the lawsuit covers patent infringement on five patents owned by the firm. The patents in question are U.S. Patent Nos. 6,502,135, 6,839,759, 7,188,180, 7,418,504, 7,490,151. VirnetX recently scored a big, $200M win from its patent suit against Microsoft.
