Livescribe Raises $39M More

Oakland-based Livescribe, a maker of pen-based computers, said this morning that it has raised $39M in funding, bringing it to approximately $100M raised in venture capital. The firm said the Series C round was led by Crosslink Capital, and also included Scale Venture Partners, Qualcomm, TransLink Capital, Presidio Ventures, Keating Capital, plus existing investors VantagePoint Venture Partners, Lionhart and Aeris Capital. As part of the funding, Crosslink's Michael Stark and Scale's Rory O'Driscoll join the company's board. The firm said it has so far sold over 500,000 of its smartpens, which can capture handwriting, note, and audio. More information »
