Trimble Acquires Cengea Solutions
Sunnyvale-based Trimble, the maker of GPS-enabled equipment and technology, said today that it has acquired Cengea Solutions', a provider of GPS-enabled software for managing business and supply chain in the forestry, agriculture, and natural resource industry. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Trimble said the acquisition is part of a strategic initiative to bring products to the forestry and other industries. Trimble has been on an acquisition roll in the past few years, buying up companies which use GPS and other positioning technology.
