Thing Labs Acquired By AOL

In its third acquisition in the last two days, AOL said Tuesday afternoon that it has acquired San Francisco-based Thing Labs, the developer of the Brizzly social sharing software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. AOL also announced Tuesday that it acquired blog network TechCrunch, and video content syndication firm 5min Media. Thing Labs was founded in June of 2008, with funding from Michael Jones (MySpace), Polaris Venture Partners, SoftTech VC, and Jeff Clavier.
