LinkedIn, Targeting College Students, Launches Career Mapping Tool
Mountain View-based social networking site LinkedIn is targeting college students today with a new feature, which it launched in conjunction with auditing firm PwC. According to LinkedIn, it has introduced a new, LinkedIn Career Explorer tool, which helps college students to chart potential career paths. LinkedIn said the tool leverages data from the professional networking-oriented site, to show possible career paths in planning their career. LinkedIn said it also will provide interesting facts and statistics about potential professions, follow potential employers and more. LinkedIn said the new tool will be free, and will be available for students at 60 universities across the United States which are currently a source of talent for PwC.
