RaiseMe Gets $15M To Help Students Get To College
San Francisco-based RaiseMe, which operates an online program which helps students unlock financial aid from college, by allowing those students to raise "micro scholarships" for providing information on their education, learning more about colleges, and more, has raised $15M in a Series B funding, the company said last week. The funding came from Teamworthy Ventures, The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Salesforce Ventures (and specifically, the Salesforce Impact Fund), plus the Strada Education Group. The company said it will use part of that funding towards a new platform, RaiseMe for Community College Transfers.
