Cloudera Gets $25M Boost
Palo Alto-based Cloudera, a developer of data management software for Apache Hadoop, has raised $25M in a third round of funding. According to Cloudera, the round was led by Meritech Capital Partners, and also included current investors Accel Partners and Greylock Partners. Apache Hadoop is an open source package used for distributed computing and data storage; the software is used heavily by large enterprises for parallel and cloud data processing. Cloudera said the new funds will go toward product development and services. The new round brings the company's total raised to $36M. More information »
